International Action Against Racism, Xenophobia, Anti-Semitism and Intolerance in the OSCE Region: A Comparative Study
Date: 10 September 2004, Type: Book
This study provides an overview of international efforts to combat racism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, and intolerance in the OSCE region. It looks specifically at the work of the OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance, the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia, and the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination/United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. Specifically, the study considers ways in which the ODIHR can assume a role that does not unnecessarily duplicate work already being carried out by other organizations, recommending areas where the ODIHR can complement existing efforts in this field.
